A QR-based check-in and check-out system in development for RBD Electrical, designed to make it easier to see who has an asset, where it belongs, and how it got there.
Tools and equipment move between RBD Electrical's workshops, staff and jobs. When a handover isn't captured at the time, finding the right item can mean chasing people or reconciling records later.
The project brings those everyday movements into one simple workflow, connected to the AroFlo asset register and the SyncOps platform RBD already uses. Each handover is recorded as it happens, keeping the asset's current status and movement history together.
The system is being built around the handovers that happen in the field, with a clear record of each change.
Scan an asset's QR label on a phone, or search by its printed asset number when a code isn't available.
Check out for a job, check in at a depot, hand over to a colleague, or return an item on their behalf.
Staff and administrators can see the asset's status and current holder, with a history of its movements.
Asset updates are designed to feed back to AroFlo, with failures visible for follow-up rather than lost silently.
A tracking system only helps when it reflects how teams actually share equipment.
We build practical connections between the tools teams already use and the work that happens on the ground.
